Booking advice

July, August and festival weekends fill early. For a wider choice of rooms and better-value midweek stays, consider May, June, September or October.

Many independent restaurants close one or two days each week outside the summer season, so check current opening hours and reserve evening tables in advance. Dietary requirements are widely catered for, and most venues will happily advise before your visit.
